An old blog rebooted after a 10 year hiatus. An indulgent ramble, hopefully readable.

Kirk spotted this echidna on our way out last Tuesday night. He was cleaning up the ants in the cracks in the stairs. He pretty much ignored us and Spook wisely stayed away from him which makes me think he has encountered an echidna before (hehehe).
Great - I'll send you the whole lot. I am particularly fond of echidnas and did my Wildlife Carer's Certificate assignment on them. We are slowly starting to see more wildlife around here as the old grazing farm land reverts to bushland. Unfortunately extra wildlife also means the snakes are eating all the big green treefrogs so I don't have stacks of them any more. They have been replaced by the Laughing treefrogs who are a lot faster (and just as noisy)
I really like this photo
