GPS 1 : Tourists 0
The Tokyo students wanted to take a day trip to Stradbroke Island and believed their GPS unit would be able to guide them there. The GPS forgot to mention the 15 kilometres of water and mud between the mainland and the island. Read more
These are very likely to be kids who have spent their lives in school and after-hours cram classes and never ventured any farther than a civilised park. Imagine not realising that you will sink in mud. Or than an island by definition is not attached to the mainland. Or that cars can't float.
